Experience

Partner in the Litigation area, she has an extensive experience working on litigation cases regarding civil and commercial matters, as well as labor, criminal and fiscal law. She has worked in a variety of issues including banking regulations and corporate representation and distribution.

As a corporate litigation lawyer she represents local and International companies and financial institutions in areas such as: complex contracts, dispute resolution, real estate disputes, technology and intellectual property, shareholder agreements, telecommunications, and monetary compensation resulting from law suits.

Additionally, Ms. Objio works in the firm’s maritime practice group, where she has counseled on a variety of maritime cases, such as lien claims, ship mortgage foreclosures, charter disputes, marine insurance claims, cargo claims and other shipping matters.

Some representative transactions include:

• She has worked successfully on most of the firm’s labor litigation matters.
• Involved in several matters regarding Habeas Data, a constitutional resource that gives the citizens the right to obtain any information from any public or private institution.
• Advised major international airline companies on civil responsibility matters.
• Represented multinational companies on debt collection matters up to US$19 million.
• Has counseled a large cosmetic company on trademark disputes.
• Has worked with multinational companies on matters regarding termination of distribution agreements under law 173 that protects local import agents.
