Hipólito Herrera P. is a founding partner of Pellerano & Herrera. A member of the Corporate Litigation Department, he concentrates his practice in banking law, commercial law, mortgages, corporate finance and financial restructuring, in addition to maintaining a general practice.
Dr. Herrera is a member of the College of Lawyers of the Dominican Republic and the board of directors of Popular Savings and Loan Association. He has been on the board of directors of the Dominican Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled.
Dr. Herrera also was the first Class Secretary of the Dominican Republic embassy in Peru and subsequently served as a member of the Dominican Republic delegation at O.E.A.
Dr. Herrera is president of the Hipólito Herrera Billini Association, an organization dedicated to the enhancement of legal research in the Dominican Republic. He has served as president of the Association for Education and Culture and of the Dominican Cardiology Foundation.
Dr. Herrera earned a doctor of law degree from the Universidad de Santo Domingo. He co-authored Derecho Procesal Penal, Volumes I and II, as well as the second edition, published in 1992. In addition, Mr. Herrera has been the editor of Legal News, Pellerano & Herrera's monthly law bulletin, since 1988.
