Caroline Bonó joined Pellerano & Herrera in 2017 and currently serves as Partner of the firm and Head of Tax Practice and Outsourcing services and Tourism.
Caroline has more than 13 years of experience in tax, corporate, regulatory, and labor matters. Caroline has advised national and multinational companies belonging to a diverse range of industries: free zone, renewable energy, electric, industrial, financial, automotive, tourism, mining, telecommunication, and non-profit organizations.
She is the leader of the Caribbean Tax Law group in World Services Group. An active member of the of the National Council of Tax Consultants (CONACI), active member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, and active member of the Board of Remax Dominicana. Caroline is also an official translator for the English Language, duly accredited by the Supreme Court of Justice.
For over 12 years, Caroline worked at PwC Dominican Republic, international “Big 4” of audit and business consultancy in the tax and legal sectors.
Her relevant transactions include the representation of the underwriters Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in two 144A/Reg. S offerings by the Dominican State, including a US$1 billion aggregate principal amount of bonds due 2048 and a RD$40 billion aggregate principal amount of bonds due 2023.
Caroline graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and has a master’s degree in business law (MADE) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. In 2018, she participated in the Executive Program "Tax Policy and Administration", from Harvard Kennedy School of Business. Cambridge, MA, USA. In 2019, she obtained a master´s degree in International Taxation from De la Rioja University, Spain. In 2020-2021, Caroline participated in the Digital Business Strategy: Harnessing our Digital Future program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
