Dr. Juan Manuel Pellerano Receives Achievement Award from FINJUS

Fundación Institucionalidad y Justicia, Inc. (FINJUS) recognized the merits of Dr. Juan Manuel Pellerano as a lawyer and jurist by presenting him with a lifetime achievement award.

Dr. Pellerano has been a Member of the Board of Directors of this institution, from 2005 to date, and is Founding Partner of the firm Pellerano & Herrera. The event took place during the sworn in ceremony of its new Board of Directors, for the period 2009-2011.

A Doctor of Laws from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, Dr. Pellerano has been one of the most influential people in the process of modernizing the Dominican legal system. During his career he has held key positions as a public servant and has been professor in the country’s most important legal training institutions, from where he has influenced a new generation of lawyers with his progressive attitude and his noble character.

Dr. Pellerano is an active writer, who has received numerous accolades from peers and from important international institutions involved with law. He is also a humanitarian who actively participates in charitable and nonprofit activities. The prestigious British legal publication, Chambers Global, refers that Dr. Pellerano is the best known lawyer in the community and is called a “Lawyer of Lawyers” and also the most complete lawyer in the country, “Vastly experienced and influential,” he is “eminent in the market” and “the best name in litigation.”
