Good news about DR-Cafta reported by American Chamber of Commerce

SANTO DOMINGO.- The American Chamber of Commerce president, Kevin Manning, said yesterday that a report received from Washington indicates a good advance has been made by Dominican and North American authorities on the quick implementation of the Free Trade Agreement.

"We understand that significant progress has been made on the most relevant subjects, reason why we have high hopes that Dr-Cafta will soon be implemented” he said.

Manning made the statements at the monthly American Chamber of Commerce lunch where he also introduced Dominican economist Jose Luis German as a speaker.

He indicated that Dr-Cafta will have a positive impact on respect for the law and will add to the strengthening of public and private institutions.
