Santo Domingo.- Yesterday, once again the Dominican official team in charge of defining requirements so that the country can be approved by the United States for implementing the free trade agreement with the North, travelled to Washington.
During the past few months, the official mission headed by Foreign Trade director Vilma Arbaje has travelled continuously to the United States, seeking to pave the way for acceptance and implementation of the Free Trade Agreement with Central America and the United States (DR-CAFTA).
The officials are scheduled to return on Friday and will immediately determine pending issues and will proceed to submit to the National Congress the accord project for approval.
The government intends to implement the accord before year's end.
