SANTIAGO, DR.- Milagros Ortiz Bosch affirmed yesterday that the delaying in the start of DR- Cafta sensibly affects the Duty Free sector, very specially the ones in Santiago, where she said thousands of jobs have been lost.
Also, the presidential pre candidate from Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD) criticized the Government for not having supported the medium, micro and small businesses, which require the State’s guarantee for them to obtain credit from the private sector.
The political leader made her declarations during a visit to the Cibao Expo Fair, which she toured in company of her party’s representative leaders and that of the Chamber of Commerce and Production leaders, organizers of the event.
She said the Government must expedite the proceedings for DR-Cafta to start, "because in these times of competitiveness and free markets, is necessary that that agreement is realized for the good of all sectors of this country".
Rafael Subvertí Bonilla said: “an extraordinary growth of affections towards Ortiz Bosh’s pre candidacy is obvious by the polls that have her ahead”, but did not say what polls he was talking about.
