
Dominican Senate begins to study Free Trade legislation

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Senate will begin to study today various bills pending for implementing the Free Trade Agreement with Central America and the United States (DR-CAFTA).
The Senate commission for in charge of analyzing this government initiative will meet as of 9:00 a.m.
Bills to be analyzed include the Intellectual Property (Law 22-00); Copyright legislation (85-00); Public Purchases and Contracts and others pertinent to agriculture and textiles.
The study commission in charge of analyzing these bills is composed by Senator Heinz Vieiuf, its chief, along with Amilcar Romero, Andres Bautista, Luis Rene Canaan and Wilton Bienvenido Guerrero.
