Santo Domingo.- Though there are still some details remaining to be dealt with, implementation of the Free Trade Agreement with Central America and the United States (DR-CAFTA), in a few weeks, U.S. president George W. Bush will certify that the Dominican State is ready, assured Hans Hertell, ambassador to the United States in the country.
To underscore that the accord has been satisfied by almost 100%, he pinpointed that the few pending issues can be resolved while the treaty is ongoing, because these are a few new rules and there are certain obligations and duties that the government must assume.
“Everything is almost ready; issues still pending can easily be resolved in the forthcoming day,” said Hertell.
